As you mentioned that Japanese mythology is vast and impossible to do with just one episode. Have you consider doing part 2 or more on this topic. It is very interesting topic.

I second that, though it would take numerous episodes.
And I feel it leans off anime relations, but it was very interesting, it's actually my minor so I'm glad you guys got things on point. (Nod of approval)

i'd rather they stick to anime-related topics instead of the much broader japan-related topics

this was a fun episode, though

While we do try to stick to anime, after 136 episodes we start running out of some things... So sometimes we do need to do these broader topics just because we do end up sitting around going "uuum, what do we want to talk about tonight?"

If you have suggestions for topics I encourage you to post them in the request section!

Oh, I completely understand. It was definitely interesting, don't get me wrong, I just found myself spending time on other tabs and drifting in and out of the conversation more often than usual. It was still a great episode, though, so please don't take this the wrong way 8-)

I have no idea if its based on actual folklore/mythology, but my favorite anime having to deal with the supernatural is Mushi-shi. An excellent show

I love that the Person games actually take from several myths. I actually learned about Izanagi and Izunami from Persona 4; cheapest school lesson ever.
The plural of anime is anime.
