You both were pretty harsh on the impressions this time!
Sure, Tsuritama and Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san both are far from a masterpiece, but they're quite fun to watch. Definately above average. I get this feeling that if you would swap those anime, you both would have a better time watching.

Glad you liked Natsume Yuujinchou Shi, Chiaki. It is somewhat skipped over by many because it's already in it's fouth season, but it's good to hear that you also enjoyed it without prior knowledge. You guessed that people who's seen previous seasons might get a bit more out of it, which is true. Natsume has grown a lot as a character in these four seasons, so I'd really recommend others to watch from the first season. But plotwise, you could jump in anywhere after listening to this podcast. This really is one of a few episodic anime who actually do it right and manage to tell an interesting story in only 1-3 episodes.
