I would like to get feedback on these choices for the current anime season's Holy Trinity

3. Accel World
2. Space Brothers
1. Boys on the Slope

I'm still hesitant on Accel World for reasons given in my impression of it. I'm worried it'll turn into a monster/battle of the week series for 3/4th the episodes and then pull together some kind of plot in the last four. Not that it can't be good even if it does follow this formula, but series that do are rarely great.

I know it won't be deep or anything, but it's rare that you have a guy who looks unattractive, someone we might have gone to school with, rather than an OK looking guy who we're supposed to feel sorry for because we're told so.

This I agree with. But I wish they followed the trend throughout all the characters. Not made them all unattractive... but its like everyone else is awesome and perfect but him. Maybe it's supposed to represent some kind of self-perception along with actual unattractiveness? But it makes it seem out of place in a borderline silly, rather than serious, way.

I am still enjoying the anime though and hold hope for it, I'm just cautious!
