I am submitting Cloud Strife from the CG animated feature Final Fantasy: Advent Children, which came out in the 00s.

I did used to know a guy back in the days of Gundam Wing (around 2000) that was deep into anime. I can actually thank him for my interest in mecha anime and gunpla as well, and i believe he was 43 when we moved to VA, in 2002.

Nowadays tho, i haven't seen another since, so the otaku expiration date really does seem to be taking effect.

Otaku expiry date? Seriously?!? You ever heard the name Taro Aso, aka Rozen Aso. He was the Japanese prime minister. People known he as the Otaku who likes anime and manga. Not sure where you got that idea from.
