A Spoiler function

Thanks Rowley for that! It didn't work perfectly with how the boards are set up here BUT I figured out how to modify it to get it to work.

For example (leaving out open and closed brackets to illustrate):

spoiler=This is a Spoiler]This is a spoiler for my favorite show, look you can even embed youtube videos and images, think of the possibilities this can be used for!

[youtube ]P7hQsgcz0hA[/youtube ][/spoiler

when you take out the spaces and add the brackets (which it will do automatically, I just did it to show) you get this:

[spoiler=This is a Spoiler]This is a spoiler for my favorite show, look you can even embed youtube videos and images, think of the possibilities this can be used for!

This spoiler function may NOT be used to slip explicit content into non explicit areas. It may NOT be used to slip semi-explicit content in non-explicit areas. In other words, you may not utilize this function to circumvent Forum Rules.

IF I find anyone doing this I will be... SEVERELY put out. Do not test me on this, otherwise you will be playing roulette with your status here.

what if we are discussing an ecchi show or an anime trope that deals with the stuff and we use it to define something as possibly nsfw?

or what if we were using it to have optional showing of content that may or may not be completely legal like torrents, crime scenes that have let to be discovered, and questionably legal pictures?

I recommend to always use the rule of thumb that if you aren't sure its okay then its likely not...

But, to answer your question directly, since you went through the trouble of asking...

grisly, as a definition function I could let it slide, so long as the definition is not gratuitously explicit or involves explicit pictures.

404'd, you can link to torrents anywhere, we as a show just don't publically condone them, but we won't remove them. But like most links be honest what youre linking to. I'm going to just say no to the other two because I'm not sure what you mean but I know hoe your mind works.

just think of it this way, if you wouldn't show it to your 10 year old sister AND mom at the same time don't post it in the general sections.
