Well, i got mine for Christmas when i was 14. As you could probably guess that was my only present that year :lol:

I think mine was in part at least, a birthday present. However, I was much older then 14. ;)

I can say this, it's the only box set of anime that i have that cost more than $100 8-) it's much cheaper now though. You can go on rightstuf.com now and purchase the DVD's individually for like $15 each now.

Oh of course! $15 bucks each is ridiculously cheap for a series with awesomeness of this magnitude. It's definitely worth it. 8-) man i love how this fan review panel became like a fan-made advertisement for SDF Macross :lol:

Found this completely on luck, thought it was suspect that they would have this but it arrived today, legit. Posting this here for anyone who was interested in the Animeigo release but missed out on it back then.
