Never heard of some of these Manga-ka or their respective series, seems I have some Titles and research to look into!
Children

This is the best gift I can give you for now, the gift without form called Memory. I have no money, I cannot buy you much with form. Even so, Memory will last Forever!

...I believe that it will.

I can't decide between Osamu Tezuka, and Nobuyuki Fukamoto.

1. Osamu Tezuka (most famously Astro Boy, but also famous for other works such as Black Jack)
2. Ryukishi07 (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni)

1. Osamu Tezuka (I enjoy Black Jack actually.)
2. Sakae Esuno (Mirai Nikki and Hanako and the Terror of Allegory)
3. Kohta Hirano (Hellsing and Drifters)
4. Arina Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite and The Gentleman's Alliance Cross)
5. Atsushi Okubo (Get Backers, B.ICHI and Soul Eater)

I used to enjoy Higurashi....but well, that's another tale that will told some other time. XD

I do Admit I Love Kaori Yuki's work, it's really... Really... Uh... Detailed??? Haha.
I also like Aya Shouoto's Light and fluffy work, just because it's all shoujo-esque with the pretty boys and no gore... Which for me is a shame because who doesn't like getting their head messed around by pretty boys?
I'm a fan of Kyou Shirodaira's work >_> Just a bit...
I grew up with CLAMP, so that's just thrown in there hehe ;)
And let's Never forget about Yuu Watase...
Oh yeah! Yazawa Ai's work is just... Amazing, blows me away. Well and truly.
Kentaro Yabuki has to be put in my not so short list of noob Otaku Love, because I just love Black Cat so much Haha.
Yana Toboso, Himaruya Hidekazu, Hiromu Arakawa, Tsugumi Ohba, Atsushi Okubo, Shimoko Kio, Erika Kari, Kirishima Sou and Tite Kubo are there as well.
Yeah.. All those are the only ones I can only think of at the top of my very dense head.
I do not have enough room to explain why
