We have a number of podcast Vcast videos on the server and they are taking up roughly 8-10GB. I have offered to remove them from the server if they would allow us to continue using their service. It is going to be very expensive to upgrade the hosting service again and we do not want to do that. I thought it would be a shame to simply delete the video files because I believe that people enjoy watching them (and I See the download numbers in the server data). Therefore, I would like to pull them from the server, and put them on Youtube. I'm not saying they won't go back on itunes in the future, but until the situation changes, I don't see an alternative. People will thus be able to go watch them on Youtube rather than download them from Itunes.
Here is the problem, we (AAA Hosts) do not have time to do this Youtube operation. I tried doing it in the past and I find that it just takes more time than I've got. The Youtube Channel is small, 175 subscribers, mostly because we never add content to it. The bottom line is that I need somebody to run the Youtube channel. You will be given access to the Youtube page and you will be given the Vcast videos in the hope that you will upload them and then upload the videos each week they are created. You will not be paid for this, but you will gain in the satisfaction of helping out the podcast in its growing success.
And of course, being reliable doesn't hurt your resume if we ever need a replacement host in the future. Not that this is in any way even a remote guarantee of that. I may end up having to select one of you from a group of many. Any background in video editing is a plus, you might need it to make the videos spiffy.
