Interesting story about the Zombie Survival Guide. I Used to work at a Library (when I wasn't shelfing books I was in the rather small manga section, skimming the manga)

I had to shelf that book and noticed that I was shelfing it in the Non-Fiction section. I checked it out that night and read the entire thing. I own World War Z(same author) as well as the Zombie Combat Manual.

i only watched this because of the podcast,but i have tosay this was very enjoyable.the only bad thing i have to say about it when,or if you are watching this around other people,it can be embarassing with all the fan service.i watched it in college,and i got so many weird looks,it was unbeliavable.

Are you a recent fan of anime? Cause I get that all the time and it doesn't bother me anymore. You will get used to it.

Loved the idea for a zombie anime show. I stuck through the first season. I will not sit through another. Fanservice heavy and a "lets see how far we can go" attitude.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind fan service. I just don't want a show consumed by it.

Either way I am going to hear plenty of people asking about seasons to come on AnimeFreak... I swear every day I get asked if there is another season coming out.

No matter how anyone feels on it, it's going to be in the minds of many anime addicts.

I never understand the hype from the general anime watchers before the season started. I read the manga before and loved it for the different take on a old genre and the great art style, therefore it's easy for me to understand the expectation from the manga readers. The people who read the manga knew what's coming and didn't complain since Madhouse did a great job adapting the content available.
I never know why other people hyped it up badly and so misinformed, then talk shit about it when it's not what they expected it to be.

I just don't get it.

Day By Day Armageddon and Plague of the Dead-Morningstar Strain are good. Unfortunatly the author of Morningstar Strain died before he could finish the third book.

Ok on the fan service, have none of you ever seen a cheesy horror movie? Thy have random sex scene and boobage galore, it makes sense that the manga would too.

I actually marathoned this show last weekend. I went in expecting nothing, so I ended up pleasantly surprised. It seems so natural now to combine everything awesome/terrible/awesometerrible about anime with everything awesome/terrible/awesometerrible about zombie movies. I'll never watch it again, but it was a great ride.

If they ever do another season, I'd like to preemptively table a motion that it be called "HotD2: Pants vs Zombies".
