Tried to kill myself at work this morning by burying myself under a stack of mats. Fortunately rolled backwards out of the fall, unfortunately rolled through a murky stream and dirt. Awesome racing-stripe-esque mud stain on my shorts, hoodie and toque to remind me. Sat and laughed about my mishap for a good several minutes immediately afterward. Not my most productive day.

Managed to give away my Saturday shift so I wouldn't have to work three six-day weeks in a row. Went to a write-in yesterday with my netbook all decked out with stickers of my two favourite hobbies: fighting and paintball.

Woke up this morning to my new ringtone courtesy of SoulBro (and Neo technically) ... THE DEFENDER OF DESTINY! and had to remind the girl who took my shift what the alarm code was to get into the store. Le sigh.

Now I debate entering two more tournaments this month, one grappling on the 20th and a karate/kickboxing on the 27th. I need more details on the second one, but I already know some of the competition entering. Not so good for me.

We did a transit write-in where all of us who showed up rode the SkyTrain from one end of the line to the other while writing. I wrote while listening to both episodes of Gundam Unicorn, and thanks to a very messed up dream, completely re-imagined the plot for my story. Mitsugi, I hope you don't mind being considered a complete nut-job in my story.
I also require someone to play Dead Space for me on my 360 while I watch.

I ran a half marathon in San Antonio, and my knee is killing me. i barely missed my projected time because of said knee, and this is amazing, considering i went bar hopping along the riverwalk the night before. by the way... what idiot gets one of Eric Clapton's guitars, and puts it on public display without putting it behind a protective layer of glass? or one of Dimebag Darrel's? or one autographed by Rage Against the Machine?

Sometimes I wake up and wonder "was it all just a dream?"
"Or maybe a vision?" my subconscious will say just to further confuse things.
Then as I stand in front of the mirror I will know the truth. "No, it WAS real," I'll say with a smile.

Eventful.

I went to my local Community College to register for classes during the upcoming semester. Yes, I know...I'm a little old to be starting my academic career. But, better late than never.

Anywho, long story short, I'm going to have to pay for this semester out of pocket, so I'm only taking three classes. Next semester I should be eligible for financial aid/grants/loans and all that fun stuff, so I'll be able to go full-time as a student.

I decided to pursue my education since recently loosing my full-time job of five years, and any sane person would probably be concerned about where this road leads, and the obstacles that may arise, but, fortunately for me, I'm a lot like that really dumb guy in the anime that doesn't pay any attention to the impending doom. Sigh, ignorance is bliss.

I'm not sure what will happen. I don't know if I'll be a complete failure in obtaining my degree. I don't know if I'll be successful in finding work if/when I graduate. And, I don't know where I'm going to get a part time job to pay my immediate bills once this unemployment runs out. But, where's the fun in knowing all the answers ahead of time?
