PSP GO SUCKS!!

Well, the games ARE easier to pirate, so they have to get a good amount of money for each person that actually does buy a game. But some PSP games are better then actual 360 or PS3 games, soooooo, I think its not that bad a deal really.

The PSP go would make a lot more sense to me if the games were cheaper on it since there's no product packaging, shipping, and less paper marketing. So, technically the game IS cheaper to produce. But the games are the same price, which confuses me.

It's amazing how little packaging and such is a part of the price of any physical medium. The last physical CD I bought would have been a whole 70 cents less by downloading.

Actually, for all their talk, I think commpanies are trying to discourage downloading games. I've noticed a few PSN games on sale for more than a new copy wold be at gamestop. Piracy scares the crap out of them.

I heard that sony's really on top of all that pirating stuff (for the PS3 anyway, my PSP IS UNTOUCHABLE!) There was apprently some kinda pirating device that came out in australlia or something, and less then a month later sony took the company making them to court and just a few days ago put an update on PSN out to fix all pirating problems that had occured.

I don't know the first thing about hacking my psp, but I guess its not a big deal since most umd games are under 20 bucks.

I will admit, the PSP go seems pointless, but the regular PSP is slowly getting better games, plus its got lots of cool features. And if its modded, you can get PSPTube/GoTube, which makes a GREAT MP3 player, on top of a good video player. I always just youtube search "*Song name here* Full" and save it to my favorites (saves it to your PSP) then you can set up a playlist with all your songs, and listen to them on there on the go (if they are saved, GoTube dosn't need to connect to the internet to play the songs). And for games, they have lots of good ones, Kingdom Hearts, Phantasy Star, Valkyria Chronicles, God of War, DJ Max, Monster Hunter, ect.

Im sorry that the PSP go kinda screwed you over, hopefully you can get a regular PSP back =o

I hate to be a hater, but... Oh wait, no I don't.
The PSP has done little for me I download anime in MP4 format from my other forum, and wait for something to come out, which isn't very often.

Well never fear because the PSP2 is real...AND it's a phone too using Android technology.

I guess it depends on who you are and what you are looking for. The PSP Go seems like a waste because there are companies that will not make UMD games for the PSP Go like Square Enix with Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. However, the PSP in general is a huge hub peripheral for JRPGs. If you *HEART* JRPGs then the PSP is for you. I mean they have...

2. Shin Megami Tensai: Persona Series
3. Ys Series
4. Lord of Arcana
5. Final Fantasy Dissidia Series
6. God Eater Burst
7. The 3rd Birthday
8. Valkyria Chronicles Series [The 3rd Installment was announced at TGS 2010 as a PSP Exclusive)
9. Phantasy Star Portable Series

And the list goes on. I think what it boils down to is the niche it seems to fit in and where it is located. Japanese RPGs are really not huge in America anymore along with portable hardcore gaming too. Where in Japan, the PSP sells better than the PS3 AND the X360.

But I understand...PSP Go is still in last place...even in Japan.

Honestly this is the 1st time Sony really put out a (sideways) upgrade of a device. Apple is the company that will put out a product (Iphone3g) and one month after the release tell everyone that the upgrade will be out soon (Iphone3Gs). They do this crap to boost their stock (people buy more stock when they know something is going to sell and if they keep saying “the next best thing is coming” then their stock and value goes up. It’s a cheap and shameless trick that only makes buyers mad, because they just spent XXX dollars on a product that the company could have waited 2 more weeks and gave them a better product) Any way, most handhelds do this. They sell the “flag ship” product, then near the end of its run they sell a better model of it (in this case the PSP go is not better) then they announce the next “flag ship” model. For example the DSi and DSi XL, a week after the DSi XL came out they said the 3DS will be out early next year. (they recently even dropped the price of the DSi XL just to get more people before they buy the 3DS)
