I am sure that if any of you have brought up politics around me that i made my stance as a conservative very clear. i do not like the government handing out money or funding things that are worthless to the majority of the people paying the taxes. i believe that of you are on welfare, there should be a time limit for how long you can be on it. there is no reason to give people who cannot work because they are so lazy money. i am amazed that the government has to borrow 40% of the budget they are using (seriously who the hell thought this one up?) and that they refused to put in an amendment that they cannot plan to borrow money for the budget. subsidizing is the biggest scam i have ever seen, with day cares keeping themselves at the bare minimum of the regulations so they can get a large check from the government instead of many smaller checks from families. I am extremely disappointed that people actually believe the green movement can work considering all the fuel it takes to ship the parts for green cars uses more fuel then the car would save in its lifetime. and people calling for political correctness, who are in a class of stupid all their own.

If every single car were purely electric, that alone would save sooo much energy and fuel, not to mention reducing pollution(ie: reducing that "fairy tale" called global warming). Also, even assuming the world doesn't become too polluted to support life and only coasts are actually devastated by global warming and thus, a lot of people, and even civilization are mostly unscathed, oil will run out, that is a fact, it might be in 2050, 2100, even 2200, but it will happen! how is most on the electricity generated for the electric cars? I do not believe in global warming but i do believe the magnetic poles are reversing (which could hypothetically have that side affect). i am less interested in evolution then i am in knowing a starting point for life (bro tip: the guy who discovered genes, IE the guy who even lets the idea of evolution become feasible was a Friar named Gregor Mendel who discovered and hypothesized about genes, and genetics and mutations keep the same or reduce genetic material not increase it so organisms cannot gain more genetic material then what they started with). conservation of resources is good but the tech like solar power isn't advanced enough to power a whole power grid and wind energy is not only ugly but inefficient. how would you charge all the electric cars? solar isn't reliable for recharging and not to mention electric cars are slow. i am not going to touch on your bitching about pollution because i mentioned nothing about pollution in my original post

Eventually a switch to solar, wind and water power will be required since we'll run out of coal and oil and nuclear power is obviously too dangerous. Now I only suggested that the cars be fully electric, for now, so you could just plug them into sockets in your garage or where ever, since that alone would greatly reduce pollution, even if oil and coal are still the original sources of said power. Also, I'm not sure whether you just said you believe in evolution or not, so I will add, evolution is proven in the fossil record and through observing organisms with much, much shorter life spans(and thus, generations), such as flies, bacteria and viruses. I admit that alternative energies, with the exception of water power, aren't advanced enough yet to completely take over for fossil fuels, but I'm not suggesting we completely switch over yet, just that we need to start transitioning as soon as we can, while further developing alternative energy technologies. That way, we won't be could off guard and be devastated as a civilization when fossil fuels do run out. I also know you didn't mention pollution, but it's part of the same big argument. One last thing, since you mentioned welfare, I hope you at least support equal marriage rights and/or universal healthcare.

to me marriage is a union that can produce offspring so no i don't think calling gays together marriage is okay, civil union is fine but marriage is a no-no. Universal health care is not my problem, obama care is a money sink, just by virtue of it being a bureaucratic thing, it will waste more money in deciding who get healthcare and who does not then it will actually pay out so this should be left to the private sector and the government should have no say if employers decide to have or not have health insurgence, besides more and more local medical centers charge less if you pay in cash anyways so it is becoming a better idea to drop health insurance completely. and again with the electric cars, where is the electricity currently generated? with coal, oil and nuclear power plants. nuclear energy is not as dangerous as most people think as long as safety protocol is followed barring a natural disaster (ie bad idea to have the plant in an earthquake prone area)

Nuclear energy is the Best option right now by far, Wind and Solar couldn't supply our world with jack shit as where the technology is so far, not to mention that the landscaping causes terrible reprucussions on the enviroment.

Coal has cause more death than nuclear has by far. Any complaints anyone?

We do need to find an alternative source soon however...

well nuclear energy is being researched along side fission energy to make the waste from the nuclear reaction in to a usable source of energy, while producing more energy in the process. also renewable oil is possible

Dude, people are always scamming. Government or not.
You know whats really fucked up, they are going to take away social security money from my grandparents. My grandparents are veterans who fought in the vietnam war and were in the military for 20+ years. They didnt have a choice either, in the desicion of where that money goes.
Now, the money they earned, they are not gonna get because the gov. says they dont need it.
BUT, correct me if i'm wrong, i only read into this a little
But to sum it up, the government is going to make the rich, richer and the almost poor ,poor. and some middle class too.
And when it comes to welfare, some people actually need it because they cant find jobs. You try to raise two kids off of 7 bucks an hour. I dont know how it feels, but it looks pretty damn hard. Ive been really poor before though, i had to get hand me downs and stuff from goodwill, we got kicked out of the apartment...but my mom caught a lucky break and most of family is in the military so we have money. But not everybody is that lucky.
And then, there are people who sit on their lazy ass all day. But you cant just stop welfare. We would have so many homeless people, what would the gov do then?

However, i do agree on the making the planet "green" movement. Wasted money.
