Nope. As long as I have my god Lain, I'm anime devoted. She alone gave me my existence. If she didn't, I would writhe and disappear.

Anyways, I would say as long as you have some anime/character you are religiously devoted to, anime slump wouldn't exist.

At times yes I find myself having a hard time finding something to watch but if I spend a lot of time looking and find a really great series I'm happy. It's worth the search if I finally find something worth while.

I guess for some there is possibility for Anime Slump, but there are still some gems under all the whatnots and whathells.
Having good Anime really feeds the addiction, so luckily there are a few who spend some time digging for really good Anime, WE SALUTE YOU :D

I completely agree, anime nowadays (not all obviously but most / lots of it) seem to suck big balls. What we really need is sort of another Monster, No 6 and Steins; Gate (to name but a few great modern animes) that breaks the plague that is moe. Some moe is acceptable, but I think the world could do with less moe and more deep / generally awesome anime. I feel kinda sad whenever someone says oh all anime is is school life with big eyes and hentai and find that a lot of anime is like that. I desperately want to shout that there amazing wonderful deep animes out there, but they're all overshadowed by the horror that is moe...

These kinds of people should get a medal or something for wading through the boggy swamp and finding good anime to watch. "May you live long and prosper."

My goodness yes!!!
There are some genuinely deep reaching Anime out there, some that are so amazing and fantastic, but are talked about much too little.
Now it almost DOES seem like it's all about the Moe and school girls because of the lack of great Anime, which encourages the Stigma and the lack of interest in Moe looking Anime.
Oh well, I'm sure it's all gonna go and there'll be great anime coming.

May those Masochistic and Self-Sacrificing God's Live long and well.
And may they get laid every once in a while.

Over the past few months I've had the habit of watching 1-3 episodes of an anime and dropping it. Maybe I'm just impatient, but if it doesn't grab in the first few episodes then I out.

I can't help but compare them to all the outstanding American and British TV shows that have been coming out. It seems at the end of anime episodes I've just been shutting them off and not caring what is going to happen. Then I go watch something like Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead and after an episode ends, I literally can't do anything except watch the next episode. Where are the anime that is that good? The last anime that has done that to me was FMA: Brotherhood.

Haha, same here, where I live, Warehouse sell like... $22 + NZ For stuff like Dragon Ball or trace amounts of Bleach.
And one disk of Vampire Knight Guilty.
All of which are mostly not there anymore, so it's very easy to get slumped by lack of Anime merchandise in places.
